WHAT WE DO
At Legal Immigrants Against Drunk Driving (LIADD), our efforts are focused on education, awareness, advocacy, and community engagement to reduce the incidence of drunk driving and substance abuse within the immigrant community and beyond. Here are the critical areas of our work:
Education and Awareness Programs
We develop and implement culturally sensitive education and awareness programs that address immigrants’ unique challenges. Our initiatives include workshops, seminars, and training sessions designed to educate participants about responsible driving practices, the dangers of drunk driving, and the consequences of substance abuse.
Community Outreach and Engagement
We actively engage with immigrant communities through events, campaigns, and partnerships with local organizations to ensure our message reaches as many people as possible. We collaborate with schools, community centers, religious institutions, and other organizations to raise awareness and promote responsible behavior.
Advocacy
LIADD advocates for more robust policies and legislation to reduce drunk driving and substance abuse. We work with local, state, and federal government bodies, as well as law enforcement agencies, to promote the implementation of effective measures to combat impaired driving.
Support Services
We provide support and resources to individuals and families affected by drunk driving and substance abuse. This includes connecting them with counseling services, legal assistance, and other resources to aid their recovery and rehabilitation.
